Ideally it is expected that each organization will have at least a peculiar personality that will influence and as such advise  on certain issues. In some settings such persons will be termed as one who supports or defends. In the parlance of the University Student Chamber Ghana, we will term such person as a ‘patron’. The quest for a patron for this organization necessitated a huge step to be taken to secure for this Organization, a person who will support and defend the UNISC-GHANA ideals at all times. It is also expected that a patron by virtue of his/her influence will help fast track certain processes and procedures for the organization if the need be on certain issues. Following this quest, some members of the Executive Board on 18th February visited  the Ministry of Foreign Affairs And Regional Integration  whose core function is to advise and assist the Government in  formulation and implementation of Ghana’s foreign policy objectives, including through proffering advice on policy option in response to unfolding international situations and events to have an influential person to act as a patron of this organization.

On 11th March, 2019, a proposal letter from UNISC-GHANA for a patron, was drafted and presented to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration to officially request for a patron.

We are therefore happy to announce to all and sundry and to most especially our cherished members that the Ministry has responded positively in this regard.
